Computer Literacy

At Koya University we define computer literacy as the knowledge and ability to use computers and related technology efficiently, with a range of skills covering levels from elementary use to programming and advanced problem solving. Computer literacy can also refer to the comfort level someone has with using computer programs and other applications that are associated with computers. Furthermore computer literacy is knowing how computers work and operate. Having basic computer skills is a significant asset in the developed countries.

At Koya University we have provided facilities as well as face-to-face help to encourage staff and student to user electronic means when needed. IT Directorate (ITD) is responsible for all computer related issues at Koya University. ITD provides Internet and email access to staff as well as creating websites for all faculty levels. ITD also provides seminars and workshops on new technology which are important to our academic community.
