Three main bodies are involved in the governance of the University:
- The President
- Koay University Council (KUC)
- Management Board
The day-to-day management of the University is the responsibility of Management Board.
Koya University Council (KUC)
The University's governing body is the Koya University Council (KUC), which meets as often as every fortnight. It approves the strategic plans of the University and is ultimately responsible for its finances, buildings and staff.
It approves all major developments and receives regular reports from Executive Officers, and is required to present audited financial statements. The KUC is made up of:
- the President
- three Vice-Presidents
- Deans
Management Board
The University's Management Board meets weekly and comprises:
- the President
- three Vice-Presidents
- the Chief Financial Officer
- the Registrar
