Koya University Hosts Second Round of Research Assistant Training at Malay Gawra Center
The Malay Gawra Center, affiliated with the Deanship of Research and Development Centers at Koya University, conducted the second round of its Research Assistant Training Program. From February 10 to 13, 2025, the Malay Gawra Research Center—operating under the Deanship of Research and Development Centers—organized a training course specifically designed for a selected group of first-year undergraduate students from the Faculty of Education.
This initiative represents the second phase of research assistant training offered by the center. The initial round, held during the previous summer, targeted recent graduates of Koya University, with the goal of familiarizing them with the principles of academic research and methodology. That program also involved their participation in supporting researchers across various disciplines, particularly in linguistics, the humanities, and the social sciences.
This training aligns with the strategic goals outlined in Koya University’s institutional development plan. In particular, it advances the university’s commitment to fostering collaboration among academic departments, research centers, and administrative units. At the heart of this strategic vision lies the objective of preparing students and graduates with the academic and scientific competencies necessary to contribute meaningfully to innovation and research.
The second round of the Research Assistant Training Program involved 15 undergraduate participants from the Faculty of Education. The course featured a series of specialized lectures covering key aspects of research processes, delivered by experienced instructors. The program aimed to equip students with the foundational skills required to serve as research assistants in a range of academic fields and to guide them toward identifying future pathways in research and scholarly inquiry
