Koya University President Visits Scouting Camp for Physical Education and Sports Sciences Students

Koya, July 5, 2025 - Koya University President Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S. Zangana visited the scouting camp for students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences held at Fatih Rasul Park in Koya city.

The president was accompanied during the visit by Asst. Prof. Dr. Yadgar Abdullah Ali, V.P. for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhin Taher Saber, V.P. for Student Affairs; and Asst. Lect. Muhammed Karim Saedgul, Director of Media.

At the beginning of the visit, the university president and the accompanying delegation were welcomed by Asst. Lect. Dr. Nabaz Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Asst. Lect. Dr. Saber Mohammed, Assistant Dean of the faculty, and faculty members.

The university president then toured the student camp closely and engaged in discussions with students and faculty about the various activities of the scouting camp.

This annual activity is organized by Koya University's Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, with students participating enthusiastically as an important and necessary experience in the field of sports sciences.

This year's camp included, in addition to traditional scouting activities, environmental activities and a specialized seminar on first aid, along with other activities such as flag-raising methods in scouting camps, evening entertainment, and campfire ceremonies. The camp continued for two days.

This activity falls within the framework of the core pillar "STUDENT SUCCESS AND EMPLOYABILITY" in Koya University's strategic plan, under the second objective of "Enhancing Students' Personal and Technical Skills" and the first strategy of "Developing Students' soft Skills." and the first strategy of "Developing Students' Personal Skills," to provide an appropriate learning environment that develops students' personal capabilities both inside and outside the classroom.
