Koya University Academic Participates in 5th International Iraqi Geotechnical Engineering Conference

Koya, July 3, 2025 - Dr. Ahmed Tayfour Aziz, lecturer in the Department of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Koya University, participated with a scientific research paper in the 5th International Iraqi Geotechnical Engineering Conference held at Komar University of Science and Technology.

The conference took place during July 2-3, 2025, in collaboration with Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University of Russia and the Iraqi Scientific Society for Geotechnical Engineering, reflecting the distinguished international and academic character of the event.

Dr. Ahmed presented scientific research titled "Modelling the Performance of Superplasticizers in a Hybrid Concrete System with Steel Slag and Waste Glass."

This participation aligns with the "Research and Innovation" pillar of Koya University's strategic plan, specifically supporting the second objective of "Increasing research opportunities for academic staff and students" and the fourth strategy of "Organizing conferences and symposiums." This framework encourages researchers and faculty members at Koya University to participate in local and international conferences.
