A scientific trip to Sulaimani was organized by Koya University's Department of Medical Microbiology's fourth-year students.

The Department of Medical Microbiology, Faculty of Science and Health, fourth-year students, under the supervision of M. Soma Fatah and Asst. Lecturer Drakhshan Ismahil, managed a scientific visit to Sulaimani on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

The students went to “Shah Mushroom Factory and the Jawanro Dairy Factory '', exploring various areas of each.

The reason for being there was to better understand and put into practice the theoretical classes as well as to get information about the work of these organizations that would be immensely beneficial in their future working days.

One of the departments at Koya University, faculty of Science and Health is the Department of Medical Microbiology. There are 22 academic staff members in this department, which debuted in the 2011–2012 academic year. This department's primary goal is to study the effects of microbes on human health, including viruses, worms, parasites, and bacteria.
