The Koya University Arts and Sports Directorate recently launched the Ping Pong competition, and at the Koya Festival Day one of the activities included the Ping Pong tournament's final match.

The Koya Festival was conducted on Monday, May 15, 2023, with the supervision of his highness Mr. Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, in the presence of Ms. Zhwan Sabir, Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government , Koya University President Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, foreign consuls, members of the Kurdistan and Iraqi parliaments, council members of the Koya University, administrative leaders, political party members, and social figures from Koya, as well as local and international guests, performed some sort of activities.

The Koya University's activities featured a marathon, an exhibition of student’s work from its three faculties of (Engineering, Science & Health, and Education), final match in chess, ping pong, and futsal tournament, as well as a display of Kurdish cloth from different periods in history.

The Ping Pong tournament started on February 19, 2023 with the participation of 64 participants and after a series of games and several stages, Rawezh Sardar and Raven Faris reached the final.

The final match was held on May 15 in the central library hall of the university and Rawezh Sardar won the first place.
