A six-day visit to the provinces of Baghdad, Najaf, and Basra is being made by a Koya University delegation under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq.

On the second day of their visit, the delegation from Koya University took part in the ceremony at Baghdad University where Iraqi universities received rankings in the Times World Rankings.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Deputy Minister for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haidar Abdul Zahid, as well as the presidents of Iraqi universities were present at the ceremony, which took place in the college of media at Baghdad University.

At the event, the Koya University President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Deputy Minister for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haidar Abdul Zahid, as well as many presidents of Iraqi universities, discussed cooperation between universities and Koya University.

Koya University’s delegation took part in the opening of the Baghdad University's Faculty of Media exhibition during their visit.

The Iraqi Minister of Higher Education additionally presented awards to 13 Iraqi universities that had received high ranks in the Times World ranks during the ceremony.

It is noteworthy that the Koya University delegation includes the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhin Tahir Saber, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Dawan Jamal Hawezi, Director General of Research and Development Centers Asst. Prof. Dr. Galawezh Bakr Bapir, Dr. Ahmed Mazn and Media Director Asst. Lect. Mohammed Karim Saedgul.
