As part of Koya University's endeavors to fortify international ties, in light of the pillar (internationalization and abroad position) of the university's Strategic Plan 2023–2027, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, the president of Koya University, paid a visit to the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, where he was cordially received by Mr. Seungcheol Lim, the Consul General of Korea in Erbil.
Throughout the meeting, Koya University's President provided an overview on the University's current structure as well as its history and standing both locally and internationally.
The president of Koya University noted that the university had developed a five-year strategic plan that serves as a kind of charter for the university's activities throughout that time.
The president of Koya University outlined the plan's vision, goals, and pillars. He also underlined that Koya University has made significant regional and international advancements in introducing and opening the channels of coordination necessary to carry out the goals of the plan, particularly the pillar on "Green University."
For his part, Mr. Seungcheol Lim, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Erbil, noted the stature and standing of Koya University locally as well as internationally while expressing his delight with the visit of the university president.
During the meeting, Mr. Seungcheol Lim, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Erbil, received a copy of Koya University's Strategic Plan for the years 2023–2027 from Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, the president of Koya University, as well as an invitation to join the Third International Oil Conference.
During the meeting, Dr. Pakhshan Fahmi Farho, the Director of Public Relations Directorate at Koya University, was in attendance.
