In the presence of Koya University President Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, the research assistant students received credentials from the Malai Gawra Center of Koya University during a special ceremony.
On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, Koya University's President, members of the Presidency Council, the Heads of Departments, instructors, and guests at the Malai Gwar Center, there was a concluding ceremony for the
training program for the student staff.
A moment of silence took place at the start of the ceremony to honor the memory of the Kurdish martyrs.
Afterwards, the head of the "Malai Gawra Center" Prof. Dr. Nali Jawad Hamad delivered several speeches and then the president of Koya University Prof. Mohammed Hasib Siddiq gave his speech at this ceremony.
During his speech, Koya University's President emphasized the significance of providing students the chance to engage in research and mentioned that this course's administration aligns with the main pillars of the university's strategic plan.
The certificates of completion and honors for the instructors and other participants in the course were given out during the following part of the occasion, which also featured honors for the well-run program.

KOU has two Scientific Journals; ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, which is indexed by Clarivate Analytics (ESCI), and Koya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KUJHSS). KOU is a proactive member of Erasmus/ Marhaba Project and Erasmus+.
KOU signed many Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with many International Universities, e.g., The University of Arkansas (June 2015). The Lulea University in Sweden (April 2014), The University of Nottingham in the UK, The University of Buckingham in the UK (Oct 2008), Belkin University in Turkey (Sep 2009) The University of Greenwich in the UK, Cihan University-Erbil (2021) and Tishk International University (2021).
Koya University is a memebr of The Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.
