On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Koya University Council, led by the university president, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, attended by council members, the Director of Dormitories, the Engineering and Projects Department, and the Maintenance Department, convened for its second regular meeting for the 2024-2025 academic year.

At the beginning of the meeting, the council discussed the latest report on the preparations of the dormitories and faculties for welcoming students. The report, presented by the administrators of the Dormitories, the Engineering and Projects Department, and the Maintenance Department of Koya University, detailed the readiness for the upcoming academic year.

Based on the insights from these reports, the council emphasized the urgent need to complete renovation work and address outstanding requirements in the dormitories, departments, and faculties. The council decided that the new academic year would officially commence on Monday, September 16, 2024, with classes starting on Sunday, September 29, 2024, in accordance with the academic calendar for 2024-2025.
