The Iraqi National Olympic Committee expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the President of Koya University for the university's participation in the championships organized by the Iraqi Federation of University Sports.

On Monday, September 23, 2024, the President of Koya University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, welcomed both the Head of the Physical Education and Sports Sciences Department at Koya University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nabaz Abdullah Fattah, and Dr. Zainab Abdul Ali, a professor in the same department and a member of the Iraqi Federation of University Sports.

During the meeting, the President expressed his pleasure at the participation of Koya University's teams in these activities and championships organized by the Iraqi National Olympic Committee and the Iraqi Federation of University Sports. He emphasized the importance of such activities in fostering relationships between universities, exchanging skills, and introducing students to a healthy and active lifestyle.

Dr. Nabaz Abdullah Fattah and Dr. Zainab Abdul Ali Barzinji expressed their gratitude for the President’s ongoing support of the Physical Education and Sports Sciences Faculty and the university’s teams, acknowledging that this support deserves recognition and appreciation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, led by Dr. Hussein Mohammed Naji, presented a certificate of appreciation to the President of Koya University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq.

The sports delegation from Koya University participated in the championship organized by the Iraqi Federation of University Sports, held from April 25 to 27, 2024, at the University of Sulaymaniyah.
