An International Training Course Held at the Faculty of Engineering, Koya University
An international workshop titled "Sustainable Heritage" was held at the Faculty of Engineering at Koya University in collaboration with the Department of Architecture, Palacký Olomouc University in the Czech Republic, and the Koya Heritage and Antiquities Office.
On October 5, 6, and 7, 2024, the international workshop "Sustainable Heritage" took place as a collaborative effort between the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, Koya University, Palacký Olomouc University in the Czech Republic, and the Koya Heritage and Antiquities Office. The workshop covered various topics related to "Sustainability of Heritage Sites," "Methods of Preserving Heritage," and "Preservation of Architectural Heritage in Kurdistan and Iraq." It also included discussions on documenting the historical sites of Koya city and recording them as part of the city's ancient history to familiarize future generations with the city's heritage and historical changes.
The topics were presented by distinguished speakers, including Dr. Karel Novacek, Dr. Lenka Strakova, Dr. Jean-Jacques, and Assistant Prof. Manar Nazar Ahmed.
