On Sunday, April 22, 2025, Koya University hosted a ceremony under the auspices of Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani to commemorate the donation of the private library of the late Mamosta Abdulkarim Shexani to the university’s Central Library.

The event was attended by Mr. Najat Abdulla, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed H. S. Zangana, President of Koya University, and the Shexani family. Speeches were delivered by Dr. Rozhgar Mohammed, Director of the Central Library, and President Dr. Sedeeq
