With the onset of the holy month of Ramadan (commencing February 18, 2026), the Presidency of Koya University, under the direct supervision of University President Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S. Zangana, successfully organized and provided daily Iftar meals for dormitory students over eleven consecutive days. This noble initiative was made possible through continuous internal efforts and the generous backing of local philanthropists and companies.

A Family Atmosphere at the Foothills of Haibat Sultan Mountain

Driven by the university's profound belief in creating a healthy, supportive, and family-like environment for its students, this initiative aimed to alleviate the daily financial and domestic burdens of students during Ramadan. Generous dining spreads were set up across all blocks of Koya University’s student dormitories, which house a total population of 3,249 male and female students. A significant number of these students gathered concurrently around long, blessed tables at the foothills of Haibat Sultan Mountain to break their fast.

Emphasizing solidarity and community spirit, the University President, alongside Vice Presidents and University Directors, consistently joined the students at the campus dormitories every evening to break their fast together.
