The meeting had been presided over by Koya University President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq.

In the presence of Vice President for Scientific and postgraduate affairs Asst. Prof. Dr.  Haidar Lashkri, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Safin Jalal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Asst. Prof. Dr. Galawezh Bakr Bapir, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Asst. Prof. Dr. Shwan Omar Khidhir, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education Asst. Prof. Dr. Nabaz Abdullah, and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Health Asst. Prof. Dr. Taha Jalal, the meeting on the plans and procedures for admission to Higher education for the current academic year 2022-2023 was held. 

At the beginning of the meeting, the president of Koya University discussed the new regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and emphasized the importance of giving more opportunities for those seeking higher education within the constraints of the regulations and the departments' scientific capabilities.

Vice President for Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs Assistant Professor Dr. Haidar Lashkri addressed the participants with the most recent information on higher education at Koya University and the requirements and policies for admission.

The meeting, which lasted around two hours, featured intense discussion among the participants on a variety of topics, including collaborations between departments in higher education, the opening of scholarships, the admissions procedure, the identification of specialties, and many more.

Finally, the deans were given guidelines to develop their study plans within a set time frame and in accordance with established scientific standards.

KOU signed many Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with many International Universities, e.g., The University of Arkansas (June 2015). The Lulea University in Sweden (April 2014), The University of Nottingham in the UKThe University of Buckingham in the UK (Oct 2008), Belkin University in Turkey (Sep 2009) The University of Greenwich in the UKCihan University-Erbil (2021) and Tishk International University (2021). Koya University is a memebr of The Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.
