Students from the biology department's third year went on a field trip to the Sulaimani Water Factory.

On Monday, March 6, 2023, The third-grade biology students visited the Sulaimani Water Factory, as part of a field trip organized by the department's head, Dr. Hiwa Ramadan Fatah, Asst.Prof.Dr. Hanan Tariq Subhi, and M. Hana Ali Mohammed on Practical Pollution.

The factory employees welcomed the students during their visit, explained the groundwater treatment process, introduced the standards for the composition and salts in the water, and then talked about the crucial tests in the factory's special microbiology laboratory and how logo printing worked all the way through to the point of being sent to the market. They also answered any questions the students had about the topics.

With 32 academic staff members, the Department of Biology is one of the departments in the Faculty of Science and Health at Koya University. The goal of this department, which was founded in 2004, is to provide students with the fundamentals of biology so that they can work in their profession.
