Koya University Delegation Visited University of Baghdad
A six-day visit to the provinces of Baghdad, Najaf, and Basra is being made by a Koya University delegation under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq.
The Koya University delegation visited University of Baghdad on the second day of their visit. They have been received by University of Baghdad President Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, Vice president for postgraduate and scientific affairs Prof. Dr. Marwan Abdul-Hamid Ashur, and Director of Quality Assurance Dr. Omar Falih Hassan.
Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, University of Baghdad President, welcomed the delegation and expressed his gratitude for their visit at the start of the meeting.
The Koya University strategic plan, vision, and perspective, as well as the Oil and Gas Conference were briefly addressed by Koya University President Asst.Prof.Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Zangana.
Koya University's President talked about the key areas of coordination between the two institutions and stated Koya University's willingness to sign an MOU with Baghdad University.
University of Baghdad President, for his part, referred to Koya University and Aro Journal's positions and praised the attempts made by Koya University to boost its national and international standing.
The Baghdad University President stated during the meeting that he was willing to sign a memorandum of understanding and coordination in the areas of collaborative research and academic coordination.
Meanwhile, during the visit of the Koya University delegation to Baghdad University, they participated in the ceremony of the ranking of Iraqi universities in the Times World Rankings.
The Shield of Baghdad University was then given to the President of Koya University by Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, President of Baghdad University.
The University Shield and Koya University Strategic Plan 2023–2027 have been presented to the President of University of Baghdad by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq.
It is noteworthy that the Koya University delegation includes the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhin Tahir Saber, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Dawan Jamal Hawezi, Director General of Research and Development Centers Asst. Prof. Dr. Galawezh Bakr Bapir, Dr. Ahmed Mazn and Media Director Asst. Lect. Mohammed Karim Saedgul.
