The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government, during a ceremony attended by dignitaries such as the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Aram Mohammad Qadir, Head of the Office of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Mr. Fawzi Hariri, and the President of the Public and Private Universities of the Kurdistan Region, along with the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Advisors, and General Director of the Ministry, presented prestigious awards to 29 researchers from public and private universities in the Kurdistan Region.
On Monday, January 15, 2024, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government hosted a special ceremony attended by key figures including Dr. Aram Mohammad Qadir, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Asst.Prof.Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Sedeeq, the President of Koya University, and Asst.Prof.Dr. Galawezh Bakr Bapir, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. During this event, honor prizes were awarded to 29 researchers from both public and private universities. The researchers from the Kurdistan Region earned recognition on Stanford University's 2023 compilation of the most distinguished global researchers.
Dr. Fahmi Fariq, a lecturer at Koya University, stood among the distinguished group of 29 researchers from the Kurdistan Region acknowledged on Stanford University's list of premier global researchers. In recognition of this achievement, he received the Honorary Award from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
