After submitting a proposal to the World Food Program (WFP) to promote employment possibilities in the agricultural business, Koya University was awarded 114 million Iraqi dinars in April of the current year.

Twenty youths from Koya who submitted business plans and were selected from 40 applicants for employment in the field of agricultural entrepreneurship were able to use this financial assistance to launch their own businesses.

The Project owners of the agricultural entrepreneurship courses, who participated in a variety of agricultural activities like beekeeping, livestock breeding, the production of nutritious foods, and the production of fruits and agricultural products, now all run their own businesses and have taken advantage of the opportunity to better both their own lives and the lives of the Koya district's residents.

Koya University Media Directorate visited these youths in the Koya district to interview and show their work and projects in the field of agricultural enterprise.

Glara Jaafar Ibrahim was one of the project owners of the agricultural entrepreneurship training course that took part in the beekeeping project and currently has her own work in this significant area that can be useful in improving the quality of products and innovation Through the development of new techniques and procedures in the field of its project to have a favorable impact on the development of agriculture and domestic consumption.

Another Koya University alumnus who runs the healthful Byte Food Project is Skala Johar Hawez. The goal of this project is to create healthy sweets and cuisine, especially without fat, gluten, or sugar. Another benefactor of the agricultural enterprise project is Dastan Newroz Hawez, owner of the fruit, vegetable, and vegetable drying operation, who now runs his own business free of any dangerous chemicals.
