شاريا عبد الرحمن عبد القادر ، محمد تحسين لطيف ،وعلي دلشاد حسن ، ثلاثة طلاب من قسم البناء والهندسة الصناعية في كلية الهندسة في جامعة كويه ، بهدف المشاركة في دورة ميكانيكية في ألمانيا .
الدورة بعنوان "Application of Additive Manufuring in Engineering" وتنظمها جامعة فرایبیرگ للتعدين والتكنولوجيا بالتنسيق بين جامعة كوي ومشروع DAAD الألماني لمدة 12 يومًا من 8 إلى 19 أغسطس.
خلال الدورة التي تعتبر تدريبًا صيفيًا، يتلقى طلابنا تدريبًا ومعلومات مفصلة عن مختبرات ومصانع السيارات ويشاركون في المحاضرات والندوات العلمية.
وفي هذا الصدد، قال الطالب محمد تحسين لطيف، في حديث خاص مع مديرية الإعلام في جامعة كويه، إنهم تلقوا دورة مكثفة يوميًا من الساعة 9 صباحًا حتى 5 مساءً في الفصول والمختبرات.
وقال محمد تحسين إنه بالإضافة إلى الدروس، قامت جامعة فرایبیرگ للتعدين والتكنولوجيا من أجل تعريف الطلاب بمناخ وثقافة البلاد بعدة أنشطة خاصة مثل الرحلات إلى المتاحف والآثار القديمة.
يفتح مشروع DAAD الألماني سنويًا دورات تدريبية صيفية للطلاب ودعوا هذا العام طلابًا من سبع جامعات في إقليم كوردستان.

KOU has two Scientific Journals; ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, which is indexed by Clarivate Analytics (ESCI), and Koya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KUJHSS). KOU is a proactive member of Erasmus/ Marhaba Project and Erasmus+. KOU signed many Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with many International Universities, e.g., The University of Arkansas (June 2015). The Lulea University in Sweden (April 2014), The University of Nottingham in the UK, The University of Buckingham in the UK (Oct 2008), Belkin University in Turkey (Sep 2009) The University of Greenwich in the UK, Cihan University-Erbil (2021) and Tishk International University (2021). Koya University is a memebr of The Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.
