A group from Koya University took part in a session on curriculum design and researching the demands of the labor market
A team from Koya University actively participated in a course on curriculum design and scientific research of labor market needs. Asst. Prof. Dr. Rahel Khalid Ibrahim, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul-Basit Kamil Faiq, Dr. Saman Tahir Faraj, M. Hana Ali Mahmoud, and Rebaz Abdulaziz Qadir were part of a Koya University team that attended a training session on scientific study of labor market needs and curriculum design on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

The master's thesis of a student of mathematics was discussed
A master's thesis discussion took place in the Faculty of Science and Health on Thursday, March 9, 2023. In the “Hakim Ameer Hawezi” Hall of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, a discussion of Hoshman Qadir Hamad's master's thesis from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Health, Koya University, took place. "Numerical Solution of the Coupled Witham-Broer-Kaup Shallow Water by B-Spline Collocation Method" was the title of Hoshman Qadir Hamad's master's thesis. On Thursday, March 9, 2023.The master's degree discussion for another biology student took place. Discussion of master's thesis of higher education student (Sara Sherzad Ali) in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Health, Koya University in the hall of Dr. Akram Hashim Taha at the Research Center of the Faculty of Science and Health. Isolation and Molecular Identification of Local Rhizobium spp. from Nodules of Certain Legume Plants in the Koya Region was the title of Sara Sherzad Ali's master's thesis.

On Thursday, March 9, 2023, Koya University facilitated the admission of all grade 12 high school students in the Koya area as part of celebrations honoring the anniversary of the Koya uprising.

An Impact Factor was awarded to ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University
In comparison to the other five Iraqi journals that earned the index, ARO journal is the first in the Kurdistan Region to receive an impact factor.

A scientific workshop was held by the faculty of physical education
The Koya University Faculty of Physical Education hosted a scientific workshop titled "An overview about Measurement and Evaluation in University Teaching" as part of its academic endeavors. There were many instructors and students in attendance as the workshop was held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 9 am at the faculty's seminar hall. A moment of silence took place for the martyrs' departed before the workshop starting. Then Asst. Prof. Dr Nabaz Abdullah, dean of faculty of physical education made the first statement.

A group of the Koya University staff paid a visit to the President Jalal Talabani Foundation to extend congratulations on its founding.

At the Kurdistan college tournament, the Koya University football team finished in second place
The football team from Koya University took second place in the Kurdistan Universities Futsal Tournament, which was held at Sulaimani University. Kurdistan Universities Futsal Championship, which was held in Sulaimani University, featured Koya University vs. Halabja University in the final match. President of Koya University Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hasseb Siddiq was continually on line with the coach of the Koya University team during the competition, also he praised Mr. Dilêr Kamal as the team supervisor.
