The master's thesis of “Sara Sherzad Ali” was the topic of discussion in the biology department
On Thursday, March 9, 2023.The master's degree discussion for another biology student took place. Discussion of master's thesis of higher education student (Sara Sherzad Ali) in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Health, Koya University in the hall of Dr. Akram Hashim Taha at the Research Center of the Faculty of Science and Health. Isolation and Molecular Identification of Local Rhizobium spp. from Nodules of Certain Legume Plants in the Koya Region was the title of Sara Sherzad Ali's master's thesis.

An Impact Factor was awarded to ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University
In comparison to the other five Iraqi journals that earned the index, ARO journal is the first in the Kurdistan Region to receive an impact factor.

A scientific workshop was held by the faculty of physical education
The Koya University Faculty of Physical Education hosted a scientific workshop titled "An overview about Measurement and Evaluation in University Teaching" as part of its academic endeavors. There were many instructors and students in attendance as the workshop was held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 9 am at the faculty's seminar hall. A moment of silence took place for the martyrs' departed before the workshop starting. Then Asst. Prof. Dr Nabaz Abdullah, dean of faculty of physical education made the first statement.

At the Kurdistan college tournament, the Koya University football team finished in second place
The football team from Koya University took second place in the Kurdistan Universities Futsal Tournament, which was held at Sulaimani University. Kurdistan Universities Futsal Championship, which was held in Sulaimani University, featured Koya University vs. Halabja University in the final match. President of Koya University Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hasseb Siddiq was continually on line with the coach of the Koya University team during the competition, also he praised Mr. Dilêr Kamal as the team supervisor.

A scientific outing was carried out by Biology Department third-year students
Students from the biology department's third year went on a field trip to the Sulaimani Water Factory. On Monday, March 6, 2023, The third-grade biology students visited the Sulaimani Water Factory, as part of a field trip organized by the department's head, Dr. Hiwa Ramadan Fatah, Asst.Prof.Dr. Hanan Tariq Subhi, and M. Hana Ali Mohammed on Practical Pollution.

Koya University's Faculty of Engineering held its second national symposium
The second symposium on "Engineering Research" was held by the Koya University, Faculty of Engineering. The Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Engineering conducted a second national symposium on Monday, March 6, 2023, in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Galawezh Bakr Bapir, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Koya University, and a considerable number of teachers. Asst. Prof. Dr. Rahel Khalid, the Head of the Research Center of the Faculty of Engineering, delivered a speech to begin the symposium.
