Koya University Launches Annual Scientific Debates for Students

KOYA, Kurdistan Region - Koya University has launched its annual series of scientific debates for students across various faculties and departments.

The inaugural event took place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, with the attendance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhin T. Sabir, Vise President for Student Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Halgurd Sarhang, Dean of Research and Development Centers; Prof. Dr. Khalid Ismail, supervisor and originator of the project; along with several department heads, faculty members, and students from Koya University. The student scientific debate series was launched under the organization of the Research and Development Centers Directorate.

The purpose of organizing such activities is to advance the main pillar of Koya University's strategic plan focused on "Student Success," providing opportunities for scientific dialogue in students' areas of specialization and future professions.
