Two Koya University Researchers Present Papers on "Migration" at the 5th International Conference on Humanities

Asst. Prof. Dr. Talar Sabah and Asst. Lecturer Basida Haider, faculty members from the Faculty of Education at Koya University, participated in the 5th International Conference on Humanities, hosted by Nawroz University in Duhok on April 20-21, 2026.

Koya University's participation featured two specialized research papers. Asst. Prof. Dr. Talar Sabah (Department of Kurdish Language) presented a study titled "The Phenomenon of Migration and Its Impact on the Language Dictionary," examining linguistic shifts associated with human movement. Meanwhile, Asst. Lecturer Basida Haider (Department of Education and Psychology) presented a sociological research paper titled "Migration of Women from East Kurdistan: Causes and Challenges," highlighting the drivers and obstacles faced by women in the context of migration.

This academic engagement reflects the second pillar of Koya University’s Strategic Plan (2023-2027), "Research and Innovation." This pillar aims to encourage faculty members to produce high-quality research with a tangible impact, enhancing the university’s scientific standing nationally and internationally while addressing contemporary issues.
