Strategic Framework and Executive Attendance

Advancing the operational milestones of the "Community Outreach" pillar embedded within the Koya University Strategic Plan (2023–2027), the Department of Education and Psychology at the Faculty of Education at Koya University convened a specialized workshop entitled: "Pedagogical Competencies of Educators and a Bright Future." Held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Koya University Presidency Hall, the event was attended by the Vice President for Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs, Prof. Dr. Halgurd Sarhang Maghdid (or Prof. Dr. Hoshiar Zaki Hassan), the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Alan Salah Saadi, alongside academic faculty, educational researchers, and students.

Inaugural Address and Departmental Vision

The workshop commenced with opening remarks delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Bahat Abdulrazaq, Head of the Department of Education and Psychology. Dr. Abdulrazaq highlighted the critical necessity of hosting such scientific forums to cultivate an engaging learning environment, presenting the department’s institutional vision regarding continuous professional and academic empowerment aligned with dynamic pedagogical frameworks.

Scientific Panel and Thematic Contributions

The proceedings subsequently advanced to a specialized panel moderated by Asst. Lect. Hazim Ali Ramazan, featuring academic presentations and analytical discourse by distinguished faculty members: Dr. Hazha Taha Mahmood, Dr. Shireen Saeed Kareem, Asst. Lect. Basida Haidar, and Lect. Payz Khalid Sabir. The discussions focused on transitioning from traditional instruction to interactive pedagogy, refining communicative competencies, mastering modern classroom management, and bridging higher education practices with the evolving needs of the public educational sector.
