Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, president of Koya University, presented awards to the futsal team's coach, players, and executive committee.

In recognition of the team's second-place success in the Kurdistan University Futsal Championship, the Koya University President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, Vice President for Student Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Qaraman Nadir, and Director of Media Directorate, Asst. Lect. Mohammed Karim Sayedgul met with the players, coaches, and management board on May 25, 2023.

The president of Koya University welcomed the team members and gave congratulations to the coaches, board, and players on achieving the rank at the ceremony.

The president of Koya University emphasized the value of university students competing in any athletic activities across Kurdistan and Iraq, both on a group and an individual level, and he expressed support for this goal.

Additionally, Mr. President stated that he was ready to assist the holding of regional and international athletic competitions, and he urged the Faculty of Sports' instructors and the Directorate of Sports Activities to take further steps in this direction.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hasib Siddiq, in addition, recognized the Directorate of Sports and Artistic Activities for managing the team and praised the faculty of sports teachers' cooperation in ensuring the team's achievement.

The Vice President for Student Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Qareman Nadir, for his part, acknowledged the President of Koya University for his support and encouragement and praised the role of the Directorate of Sports and Artistic Activities, the Faculty of Physical Education, and teachers in gathering the players, supervising them, and boosting them to the level of winning the championship.

The team's coach, Prof. Dr. Goran Ma'roof, expressed appreciation for the president's hospitality and awards and complimented him for his support, noting that this support motivates the team to produce greater and higher outcomes for Koya University.

In the meantime, Mr. Diler Kamal, the director of the sports and artistic activities directorate, expressed his happiness at receiving the prize and said that it would encourage his staff and the players to do more for Koya University.

The students, for their part, thanked the president of Koya University and expressed their delight at receiving the honors.
