The workshop "International Perspectives on Academic Research" was held at Koya University

A workshop titled "International Perspectives for Academic Research" was held in the Faculty of Education in the Tahir Bakr Hall at Koya University, organized by the Malay Gawra Research Center of the General Directorate of Research Centers.

On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Safin Jalal, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Rezan Salih Mawlood and teachers of the Faculty of Education, the workshop "International Perspectives for Academic Research" was held at the Tahir Bakr Hall in the Faculty of Education.

This workshop was presented in the context of Koya University's Strategic Plan's primary pillar, "Research and Innovation." A panel led by Prof. Dr. Nali Jawad Hamad addressed a number of research-related themes, including the following:

"How do I use Google Scholar to find previous research?", by Dr. Karwan Mustafa Saeed was presented.

"The Art of Publishing and Conditions of Writing International Research" was presented by Mr. Darya Rostam Ahmad.

"Critical Methodology Between Analysis and Application" was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Massoud Salim.

"What Do Methodological Lessons Give Us?" Presented by Asst. Lect. Rebwar Qasim.

"Crises and Problems Facing the Humanities in the Internationalization of Research" by Dr. Rawaz Rostam Hamad Amin.

This workshop aimed to better introduce the fundamentals of innovative research to guide scientific work and research at the international and global levels. It also sought to ensure a better understanding of the opportunities for research internationalization.

KOU has two Scientific Journals; ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, which is indexed by Clarivate Analytics (ESCI), and Koya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KUJHSS). KOU is a proactive member of Erasmus/ Marhaba Project and Erasmus+.

KOU signed many Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with many International Universities, e.g., The University of Arkansas (June 2015). The Lulea University in Sweden (April 2014), The University of Nottingham in the UK, The University of Buckingham in the UK (Oct 2008), Belkin University in Turkey (Sep 2009) The University of Greenwich in the UK, Cihan University-Erbil (2021) and Tishk International University (2021).

Koya University is a memebr of The Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.
