On Monday, September 2, 2024, the Council of Koya University convened under the leadership of the university president, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, with the participation of council members, for its first regular meeting for the academic year 2024-2025.

The meeting aimed to discuss several key topics related to the start of the new academic year, including Koya University's academic calendar, the preparations of faculties and departments, and administrative readiness for welcoming students.

At the outset of the meeting, the President of Koya University congratulated council members, faculty, staff, and students on the beginning of the new academic year. He expressed his hopes for an academic year free from challenges, financial crises, and difficulties, and wished for a smooth and successful educational process.

During the meeting, the Koya University Council designated Monday, September 16, 2024, as the official start date of the academic year at Koya University. The council continued its discussions on other agenda items throughout the day, concluding at 4:00 PM.
