The President of Koya University Welcomes a Delegation from the French Cultural Institute
The President of Koya University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, welcomed a delegation from the French Institute and the French Campus, affiliated with the French Consulate in Iraq.
On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, President of Koya University, received Frédérique Tarride, Director of the French Institute; Yadikar Kouja, Director of the French Campus; and Dashti Omar Siddiq, Director of Cultural Affairs, who represented the French Institute and the French Campus during their visit to the University Presidency.
The meeting was attended by members of the University Council, directors of the Public Relations, Media, and Dormitories departments, and several faculty members. It was held in the Presidential Hall of Koya University.
At the beginning of the meeting, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an insightful overview of Koya University. He highlighted the university's history, faculties, and various academic departments, while also elaborating on its strategic plans and initiatives. Special attention was given to the "Green University" project, which he presented comprehensively to the visiting delegation.
Ms. Frédérique Tarride, Director of the French Institute, expressed her gratitude for the warm reception at Koya University. She praised the university's initiatives and achievements, particularly its commitment to the "Green University" project, which she described as highly significant and inspirational.
A key part of the meeting involved the formal presentation of Koya University’s strategic plan by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb to Ms. Tarride. He also provided a detailed explanation of the "Green University" model, emphasizing its role in sustainable development and innovation.
This meeting underscored Koya University’s dedication to fostering international academic and cultural collaborations, marking a significant step toward strengthening ties with the French Cultural Institute.
