The President of Koya University Inspects Examination Halls at the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Science and Health
The President of Koya University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Zangana, accompanied by the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yadgar Abdullah Ali, and the University's Media Director, Asst. Lect. Muhammed Karim SAEDGUL, inspected the examination halls at the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Science and Health.
On Tuesday, Bafranbar 18, 2724 (Kurdish calendar), corresponding to January 7, 2024 (Gregorian calendar), the university president and his delegation visited the examination halls of the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Science and Health.
The visit began at the Faculty of Education, where they were welcomed by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Safin Jalal, the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Rezan Saleh, and the Head of the Examination Committee, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kamaran Aziz.
The university president inspected several examination halls at the Faculty of Education and held discussions with the examination committee regarding the process of conducting exams.
The second part of the visit was to the Faculty of Science and Health, where they were welcomed by the Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kosrat Najad Kakha, the Vice Dean, Dr. Jaafar Majid Ismail, and the Head of the Examination Committee, Dr. Musheer Ismail Salah.
The president inspected the examination halls at the Faculty of Science and Health and held discussions with the examination committee about the exam process.
During the visit and meetings with faculty leadership, the president emphasized the importance of meticulously organizing exams and creating a conducive environment for students.
Koya University supports its strategic plan, focusing on "Student Success" as a key objective to enhance students' academic abilities and fulfill their needs for success, which are essential components of the university and a cornerstone of the community's human capital.

Koya University (KOU) is located in the city of Koya (Koy Sanjaq) which is 1.0 hr drive to the East of the Kurdistan Region capital Erbil (Arbil, Hewlér) in Kurdistan Region of F.R. Iraq. Moreover, at KOU there is an English Language Center (BELC) at KOU has been opened with the sponsorship of IREX and American embassy in Baghdad as well as with the support of Spring International Language Center of The University of Arkansas. KOU has two Scientific Journals; ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, which is indexed by Clarivate Analytics (ESCI), and Koya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KUJHSS). KOU is a proactive member of Erasmus/ Marhaba Project and Erasmus+.
KOU signed many Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with many International Universities, e.g., The University of Arkansas (June 2015). The Lulea University in Sweden (April 2014), The University of Nottingham in the UK, The University of Buckingham in the UK (Oct 2008), Belkin University in Turkey (Sep 2009) The University of Greenwich in the UK, Cihan University-Erbil (2021) and Tishk International University (2021).
Koya University is a memebr of The Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.
