New Vice President for Student Affairs at Koya University Assumes Duties

In the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S Zangana, President of Koya University, and several members of the University Council, the newly appointed Vice President for Student Affairs officially assumed their duties.

On Sunday, February 26, 2025, a special ceremony was held at the Presidency of Koya University, where the newly appointed Vice President for Student Affairs officially took on their role. The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Sedeeq, President of Koya University, along with several members of the University Council.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Sedeeq delivered a speech in which he emphasized the vital role of the Vice President for Student Affairs. He highlighted the fundamental truth that students are crucial human capital, essential not only for society in general but also for the university specifically. He reiterated that Koya University, as part of its strategic plan, has placed a strong focus on "Student Success" and is actively working to ensure that students are better prepared than ever to contribute effectively to society.

Another part of the President’s speech was dedicated to acknowledging the efforts and dedication of the late Asst. Prof. Dr. Qaraman Nadr Shekh Bzeni, the former Vice President for Student Affairs. He highly valued Dr. Qaraman's contributions in this role and expressed deep appreciation for his hard work. Additionally, he extended his best wishes to the newly appointed Vice President, encouraging them to fulfil their responsibilities successfully and contribute effectively to achieving the university’s goals.

In another part of the ceremony, the President of Koya University presented a bouquet of flowers to Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhin Tahir in celebration of their appointment as the new Vice President for student affairs.
