The President of Koya University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S. Zangana, held a special reception for faculty members and students who have recently achieved success in various local and international sports championships. During the event, President Sadeeq awarded a certificate of appreciation to Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Fathullah and student Amer Saadi Suleiman for their roles as coach and assistant coach in leading the Koya Sports Club swimming team to secure first place at the Erbil Governorate level.

This recognition took place on Wednesday, May $20$, $2026$, as the University President met with the successful athletes to celebrate their achievements and reiterate the university's continued support for their athletic talents.

The meeting at the Koya University Presidency was attended by the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yadgar Abdullah Ali; the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Hoshiar Zaki; the Vice President for Student Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ajin Tahir Sabir; the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nabaz Abdullah; the Council Secretary, Lect. Chya Jawhar; the Director of Art and Sports Activities, Dler Kamal; and the Director of Media, Asst. Lect.. Muhammed Karim Saedgul.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Sadeeq highly valued the achievements of the faculty and students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences. He also praised the role of the University's Department of Sports and Arts Activities, emphasizing that by contributing to such an important and influential field as sports, they are serving the community and the city of Koya, and fostering a sports-loving and healthy generation.
