 In a continuation of its academic triumphs, five distinguished faculty members from Koya University were awarded Certificates of Appreciation by the KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This prestigious recognition celebrates their registered patents and outstanding scientific innovations within their respective fields, alongside elite innovators from various universities across the Kurdistan Region.

Ceremony Highlights and Prominent Laureates

The honoring ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir. Out of 51 honored innovators from across all universities in the region, Koya University proudly stood out with five exceptional scholars:

• Prof. Dr. Hanan Tariq Subhi (Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Health).
• Prof. Dr. Payman Subha Ahmed (Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering).
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Salam Ghafour Taher (Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Health).
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Hani Khalil Ismail (Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Health).
• Dr. Shilan Samin Hamid (Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Engineering).
