In pursuit of its ongoing commitment to fostering strategic academic relations, a high-level delegation from the Faculty of Engineering at Koya University, led by the Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Galawizh Bakr Bapir, conducted an official visit to the Kurdistan Pipeline Company (KPC) headquarters.

The visit took place on Monday, June 29, 2026. The Koya University delegation included Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarhad Ahmad Farkha (Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education), Mr. Barham Sabir Mahmoud (Member of the Engineering Consultancy Bureau), and Mr. Farhad Abdulrahman Hamad (Faculty Member at the Department of Petroleum Engineering). This initiative was aligned with Koya University's Strategic Plan, specifically advancing the pillars of "Student Success and Career Readiness" and "Internationalization and Global Standing," aiming to establish mutual industrial collaboration and secure prospective career opportunities for engineering graduates.

The academic delegation was warmly received by the Director of KPC, Engineer Bestoon Jalilzada, along with several department heads and company officials. The hosts expressed their hospitality and commended the academic excellence and technical capabilities of Koya University's Faculty of Engineering. During the meeting, the university delegation delivered an insightful presentation introducing the Engineering Consultancy Bureau and highlighting the advanced laboratories within the Faculty, particularly in the fields of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, which serve as a robust foundation for bridging academia with the industrial sector. Concluding the visit, both parties emphasized their mutual commitment to maintaining communication and expanding bilateral cooperation.
