Fostering institutional alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and implementing its strategic roadmap, the President of Koya University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S. Zangana, received an official delegation from Oxfam International, headed by the Country Director of Oxfam in Iraq, Mr. Amjad Ali.

Strategic Dialogue and Shared Visions

During the meeting held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, the President of Koya University  welcomed the Oxfam delegation, highlighting the vital importance of partnering with international non-governmental organizations. Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S. Zangana presented a comprehensive overview of Koya University's academic trajectory, international stature, and the core pillars of its Strategic Plan (2023–2027), emphasizing the strong synergies between Koya University and Oxfam.

Mr. Amjad Ali, Country Director of Oxfam in Iraq, expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and outlined Oxfam’s scope of work in combating poverty, inequality, economic and gender injustice, and climate change across Iraq. He commended Koya University's strategic integration of the "Green University Initiative" as a foundational pillar for environmental stewardship and institutional sustainability.

At the conclusion of the formal meeting, Prof. Dr. Zangana presented an official copy of the Koya University Strategic Plan to Mr. Amjad Ali. The delegation subsequently toured the university park and visited the kiosks of the "My First Business" student project.
