As part of comprehensive preparations for the launch of the 2026–2027 academic year and welcoming returning and incoming students, the President of Koya University, Prof. Dr. Mohammad H.S. Zangana, conducted an extensive field inspection across university dormitories to oversee ongoing renovations and logistics.

Comprehensive Meeting and Strategic Directives

The visit began on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Directorate of Student Dormitories, where the President convened an extensive meeting with the Director of Dormitories, Kareem Ahmad Hamad; Head of the Female Student Dormitory, Ala Ali Hussein; Head of the Male Student Dormitory, Rekawt Kaka Osman; dormitory supervisors; the university's technical maintenance team; and representatives from the contracted maintenance and cleaning companies.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mohammad H.S. Zangana emphasized the critical need to secure essential services and create an enabling living and studying atmosphere. He stated:

 "It is our utmost duty to facilitate every aspect of student life and provide a tranquil, fully equipped environment within our dormitories, empowering students to pursue their academic endeavors with confidence and focus." 

This commitment reflects the student-centered pillars of the Koya University Strategic Plan.

Field Inspection of Dormitory Complexes

Following the meeting, the University President inspected several male and female residential dormitory blocks to examine firsthand the quality of renovations, safety measures, and operational readiness.

During the summer recess, Koya University launched a large-scale renovation and maintenance campaign across all campus dormitories to upgrade infrastructure, repair facilities, and guarantee that students are received into modern, fully serviced accommodations.
