As part of ongoing institutional initiatives to advance the academic environment and upgrade scientific infrastructure, the President of Koya University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S  Zangana, officially inaugurated a series of newly constructed and renovated facilities across the university campus.

Inauguration of Projects at the Faculty of Science and Health

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the University President, accompanied by University Council members and engineering teams from the Directorate of Engineering and Projects, conducted an inspection visit to the Faculty of Science and Health to formally inaugurate several completed facilities.

The inaugurated projects within the faculty include:

• A newly constructed, specialized laboratory for the Department of Medical Laboratory Science (MLS).
• A fully equipped seminar hall with modern multimedia technologies.
• Newly furnished administrative offices for the Head and staff of the Department of Computer Science.
• Renovation and expansion of the Examination Committee Hall, alongside auxiliary service facilities tailored to departmental needs.

During the opening, Prof. Dr. Zangana commended the engineering and project management teams, reiterating the university's ongoing commitment to delivering an optimal learning and research environment for students and academic staff to further enhance educational quality.

Additional Campus Infrastructure Projects

Within the comprehensive campus-wide modernization campaign, additional infrastructure projects have been completed and put into service to support students and academic staff:

1. Renovation of the main entrance portal and roofing insulation at the Faculty of Medicine.
2. Construction of two modern lecture halls at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.

These projects form an integral part of the Koya University Strategic Plan, aiming to modernize operational infrastructure, reinforce academic and administrative capacities, and align the educational ecosystem with international institutional standards.
