As part of ongoing endeavors by Koya University to upgrade its athletic infrastructure and promote a healthy, dynamic workplace environment, the President of Koya University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S. Zangana, officially inaugurated the university's newly renovated futsal court.

Inauguration and Engineering Standards

The inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in the presence of University Council members, alongside the directors of Engineering and Projects, Art and Sports Activities, and University Media. The court underwent comprehensive renovations adhering to modern technical standards, reopening its doors to sports enthusiasts across the university community.

The modernization project was executed under the direct oversight and technical supervision of the Directorate of Engineering and Projects, ensuring that all technical specifications were strictly met to deliver a high-standard athletic facility that serves the extracurricular and recreational activities of both academic staff and administrative personnel.

Presidential Remarks and Strategic Alignment

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Zangana commended the engineering team for their diligent execution and emphasized: "Prioritizing projects of this nature is a fundamental objective of the Koya University Strategic Plan. Our goal is to continually enhance the university environment, encourage our academic staff and administrative personnel to engage in physical wellness activities, and foster a healthy and balanced campus lifestyle."
