The President of Koya University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S. Zangana, has reaffirmed the university's commitment to eliminating administrative bureaucracy and accelerating end-to-end digital transformation, instructing all university entities to deliver seamless, expedited services to incoming students and their families.

Strategic Coordination with Supreme Reception Committee

The directive came during a high-level meeting convened on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with the Supreme Reception Committee for Newly Admitted Students. The session was attended by the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs (Asst. Prof. Dr. Yadgar Abdullah Ali) and the Vice President for Student Affairs (Asst. Prof. Dr. Azheen Tahir Saber).

Welcoming the incoming cohort for the 2026–2027 academic year, Prof. Dr. Mohammed H.S. Zangana, outlined the university’s institutional onboarding strategy:

"We must implement the most accessible, frictionless administrative procedures for our newly admitted students. It is imperative that comprehensive support be extended to students and their families, ensuring that all admission requirements are finalized within the shortest possible timeframe."

E-Governance Success and the MMS Digital Platform

Highlighting the university's track record in digital governance, the President stated:

"Over the past four years, Koya University has substantially alleviated logistical hurdles for applicants and their guardians by relying heavily on advanced digital enrollment infrastructure."

The President commended the preparedness and cross-functional coordination demonstrated by the Supreme Committee and participating directorates—including General Registration, Student Dormitories, Finance, Legal Affairs, IT, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and University Media.

As part of the streamlined process, admitted students can complete initial application stages remotely from home via the university's integrated online system (MMS) prior to arriving on campus, subsequently visiting administrative centers according to an organized schedule that prevents congestion and guarantees efficient processing.

Enrollment Figures for 2026–2027

According to official metrics released by the Directorate of General Registration at Koya University, a total of 1,138 students have been admitted across diverse faculties for the 2026–2027 academic year. These measures advance the operational goals of the Koya University Strategic Plan by embedding smart administrative solutions centered on student success.
