For the purpose of enhancing their critical thinking skills and gives students a chance to think about a topic or theme from a different perspective, On 21 February 2023, Students from the Education and Psychology Department went on a field trip to University of Sulaimani and Leaders Private School. 

The trip has been organized and supervised by Ms. Bahat Abdulrazaq and Mr.Abbas Shareef. 

The mission of the Education and Psychology Department is to provide an excellent education for the undergraduate and graduate students who take their courses, taught by dynamic faculty who are also active in their fields. They will foster the spirit of creative inquiry by improving their students’ ability to read, write, and think critically (based on research methodology knowledge and skills). 

By university decree number (7 / 2 / 2226) on June 19, 2016, the Department of Education and Psychology, one of the scientific departments of the Faculty of Education at Koya University, was established to meet the needs of the Kurdish society.

This department has been taken into account after consulting with pertinent professionals. Both the science and the literary divisions were open to both male and female high school graduates.
