At Koya University, a two-day workshop on research ethics was held

A two-day workshop on research ethics will take place at Koya University's Center for Pedagogy and Development on October 4 and 5, 2023.

The two-day workshop is a part of a series of cooperative workshops being held by Koya University in the Kurdistan Region and the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland.

Dr. Sherko Krmanj from Koya University in the Kurdistan Region led the most recent joint workshop between Koya University and the University of Ulster

Dr. Kelsey Shanks  from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland covered a range of research ethics topics, including the philosophy and definition of research ethics, its guiding principles, and the significance of ethics in research.

In an interview with the Koya University Media Directorate, Dr. Sherko Krmanj highlighted the significance and goal of holding the workshop, stating: "The basic goal of the workshop is to introduce researchers to complex issues of research ethics, and these topics will be presented in the context of discussion at the workshop."

The way the workshop was run, notably the crucial discussion between the speakers and the attendees, was considered by the workshop participants as an essential and useful step in this project in order to delve further into the issues.

The Economic Policy in Education Project is a collaboration between the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland and Koya University in the Kurdistan Region, aims to conduct wide-ranging research on how economic policy affects education, particularly in post-conflict nations and societies.
