Huawei's annual technology competition has been won by six students from the Department of Software Engineering at Koya University's Faculty of Engineering.

On October 25, 26, and 27, 2023, Huawei, a Chinese Technology Company investing in the field of technology, held its annual competition in Kurdistan and Iraq for the universities that are part of the Huawei Academy. Out of the 56 selected participants who won the first round, there were six students studying in the Software Engineering Department of Koya University.

Bawar Zring, Ari Farooq, Shad Khalid, Mohammed Rajab, Maghdid Shko, and Zhia Rebwar, who study in Koyan University's Department of Software Engineering, were among the top students. It is scheduled for November 10. Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Huawei, Koya University joined the group of universities associated with Huawei Academy.
