President of Koya University Asst.Prof.Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Sedeeq accompanied by a delegation consisting of members of the council of Koya University visited the examination halls, in the Faculty of Science and Health and Faculty of Education.

On Sunday, December 7, 2024, the President of Koya University Asst.Prof.Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Sedeeq, accompanied by a delegation of the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Rostam Salam Aziz, Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Qareman Nader Sheikh Bzeni visited the examination halls of the students.

The beginning of the visit of the President of Koya University. Asst.Prof.Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Sedeeq and his accompanying delegation were started from the Faculty of Science and Health and were welcomed by Dr Jahfer Majeed Smail, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science and Health. and the head of the committee, the deputy chairman of the examination committee of the Faculty. Dr. Emad Khelil Zangana and Dr. Harem Othman Smail, and then to closely evaluate and check the examination halls and the exam process, the president of Koya University discussed about the test and the methods of the questions and then visited the examination committee of the Faculty of Science and Health.

The Faculty of Science and Health of Koya University for the academic year 2023-2024 contains eight different scientific departments, of which 858 students will participate in the exams and their exams will be conducted in ten halls with the supervision of 109 lectures. In these tests, the students of the first and second stages will test according to the Bologna Process and the third and fourth grades will take exams according to the semster process and the exams include 63 Bologna Process subjects 68 per semester.

The second part of the field visit was to the Faculty of Education, at first they were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof.Dr. Safin Jalal and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Financial, Administrative, and Student Affairs, Prof.Dr. Rezan Saleh and Asst.Prof.Dr. Alan Salah The Chairman of the Committee and the Deputy Chairman of the Examinations Committee of the Faculty of Education, Asst.Prof.Dr. Hoshmand Ali and Asst.Prof.Dr. Diler Aziz.During the visit, the President of KOU, Asst.Prof.Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Sedeeq visited the examination halls and also visited the examination committee of the Faculty of Education to closely observe the examination process.

Koya University consists of seven departments, the number of students participating in the exams is1255 students.

Koya University (KOU) is located in the city of Koya (Koy Sanjaq) which is 1.0 hr drive to the East of the Kurdistan Region capital Erbil (Arbil, Hewlér) in Kurdistan Region of F.R. Iraq. Moreover, at KOU there is an English Language Center (BELC) at KOU has been opened with the sponsorship of IREX and American embassy in Baghdad as well as with the support of Spring International Language Center of The University of Arkansas. KOU has two Scientific Journals; ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, which is indexed by Clarivate Analytics (ESCI), and Koya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KUJHSS). KOU is a proactive member of Erasmus/ Marhaba Project and Erasmus+.

KOU signed many Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with many International Universities, e.g., The University of Arkansas (June 2015). The Lulea University in Sweden (April 2014), The University of Nottingham in the UK, The University of Buckingham in the UK (Oct 2008), Belkin University in Turkey (Sep 2009) The University of Greenwich in the UK, Cihan University-Erbil (2021) and Tishk International University (2021).

Koya University is a memebr of The Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.
