In recognition of their efforts in facilitating collaboration and building relationships with consulates and foreign representatives to support the Third International Conference on the Oil Sector titled "Managing Waste in the Oil and Gas Industry," held from April 28 to 30, 2024, the President of Koya University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, presented a plaque to Dr. Peshawa Mohammed, Advisor and Head of the Diplomatic Relations Department in the Deputy Prime Minister's Office of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, accompanied by the University’s Director of Media, M. Mohammed Karim Sidgoul, visited the Diplomatic Relations Department at the Deputy Prime Minister's Office in Erbil. They were welcomed by Dr. Peshawa Mohammed, Advisor and Head of the Diplomatic Relations Department, and Asman Bahroz Galali from the department’s team.
During the meeting, the President of Koya University praised the role of Dr. Peshawa and his team in facilitating connections with consulates and foreign representatives to support the Third International Oil Conference. He emphasized that these relationships were crucial for the participation of international delegations and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with "Accelerate India."
The President also discussed the preparations for Koya University’s "Green University Project," set to be announced on May 16, 2024, by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani. He highlighted the university’s discussions with foreign companies regarding renewable energy solutions.
Dr. Peshawa Mohammed expressed his gratitude for the President's visit and reiterated his team’s readiness to support building relationships with consulates and foreign representatives to advance the Green University Project.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of Koya University presented a plaque on behalf of Koya University to Dr. Peshawa Mohammed and Asman Bahroz Galali in recognition of their contributions.
