كلية الهندسة بجامعة كوية تعقد ندوتها المحلية الثالثة

انعقدت يوم الاثنين الموافق 4 مارس 2024، الندوة المحلية الثالثة بعنوان "البحث يمهد الطريق لمستقبل أكثر إشراقا" في قاعة الندوات بكلية الهندسة جامعة كوية.

وقد تناولت الجلسة الأولى للندوة أربعة محاور على النحو التالي:

ورقة عمل بعنوان "Modeling the complementary role of inert slag aggregate and waste glass on concrete mechanical strengths using the response surface and design-of experiment approach" قدمها أ. أحمد طيفور عزيز.

مقال "Effect of waste glass powder as partial replacement of cement & sand in concrete" بقلم السيد دابان محيي الدين.

وقد قدم السيد بهرام صابر محمود ورقة بعنوان "Performance Evaluation of Silica-Graphene Quantum Dots for Enhanced Oil Recovery From Carbonate Reservoirs".

المقال "Design and Simulation of utility oilfield Flare in Iraq/Kurdistan region using CFD and API-521 Methodology" للسيد أحمد معروف.

وتناولت الجلسة الثانية من الندوة المحاور التالية:

قدم أ.م.د. پەيمان صباح أحمد ورقة بعنوان "Blister test to evaluate the multiwall carbon nanotubes(MWCNT)- woven carbon fiber-reinforced epoxy used for repairing pipelines''.

تم تقديم موضوع "Punching Shear capacity of expanded polystyrene(EPS) lightweight concrete flat slabs without shear reinforcement" من قبل ‌أم.د. فارس رشيد أحمد.

وموضوع "Memory and the sense of heritage in Iraq" قدمته د. سحر القيسي.

ورقة عمل بعنوان "Performance Evaluation of the new Environmentally friendly additive for enhanced fluid loss and Rheological Properties of Drilling Fluid" قدمها السيد محمد جمال.

قدمت ورقة بحثية بعنوان "Influence of Optimum Particle Packing on the Macro and Micro Properties of Sustainable Concrete" أ.م.د. تغريد خليفة محمد.

وتم تقديم الأسئلة والتعليقات للمشاركين في نهاية الحلقات، وكان الجزء الأخير من الندوة هو توزيع شهادات المشاركة على المحاضرين.

Koya University

Koya University (KOU) is located in the city of Koya (Koy Sanjaq) which is 1.0 hr drive to the East of the Kurdistan Region capital Erbil (Arbil, Hewlér) in Kurdistan Region of F.R. Iraq. It is on the foothills of a beautiful high mountain. Its campus has been carefully laid out to embrace the beautiful mountainous nature.

There are 4 Faculties and 2 Schools in KOU; Faculty of Engineering (FENG), Faculty of Science and Health (FSCH), Faculty of Education (FEDU), Faculty of Humanities and Social Silences (FHSS), Shcool of Physical Education (SPHE) and School of Medicine (SMED).

Also, there are two research centers; Genome Center and Malai Gawra Center. Moreover, at KOU there is an English Language Center (BELC) at KOU has been opened with the sponsorship of IREX and American embassy in Baghdad as well as with the support of Spring International Language Center of The University of Arkansas. KOU has two Scientific Journals; ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, which is indexed by Clarivate Analytics (ESCI), and Koya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KUJHSS). KOU is a proactive member of Erasmus/ Marhaba Project and Erasmus+.

KOU signed many Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with many International Universities, e.g., The University of Arkansas (June 2015). The Lulea University in Sweden (April 2014), The University of Nottingham in the UK, The University of Buckingham in the UK (Oct 2008), Belkin University in Turkey (Sep 2009) The University of Greenwich in the UK, Cihan University-Erbil (2021) and Tishk International University (2021).

Koya University is a memebr of The Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.
