A group of researchers from the faculties of engineering, science and health at Koya University have published a new invention.

A team of researchers conducted a cooperative study from both Faculty of engineering, Software engineering Department and Faculty of science and health, Chemistry Department about “A Novel Poisoned Water Detection Method Using Smartphone Embedded Wi-Fi Technology and Machine Learning Algorithms” and published in “arXiv” international journal. 

The team had the following members:

The Department of Religious Education in Faculty of Education, Koya University, held a workshop about " The Relationship Between Anxiety and Achievement Motivation Among University Students From Religious and Psychological Perspectives " in M. Tahir Bakr Hall.

A meeting on developing the curriculum for religious education and Islamic sciences was held at Koya University.

The World Food Program (WFP) has provided financial support to Koya University in order to develop job opportunities in the agricultural sector for the Koya district.

Following the submission of the proposal by the Directorate of Career Services of Koya University, a grant in the amount of 114 million 954 thousand Iraqi Dinars was granted in order to work to foster chances for entrepreneurship and leadership in the sector of agriculture. It still includes 160 hours of instruction from 15 professors and trainers.

The VIVA Voce of Master's Thesis of (Rasul Kh. Rasul) under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Mazin Jalal Ahmed has been held in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hakm Amir Hawezi hall.

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, President of Koya University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Haseeb Siddiq, welcomed each of the delegation member which consists of; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bahaddin Ali and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hawkar Salar Ahmad, a lecturer at the University of Sulaimani, and a delegation of the Kurdistan Sports Journalists' Committee.

On Thursday, 26, January 2023, at the  Faculty of Physical Education Seminar Hall, a seminar titled: "Unifying Sports Terminology" was held.

The seminar was held by the Kurdistan Sports Journalists Committee in cooperation with the  Faculty of Physical Education at Koya University and sponsored by the Karimi Alaka Foundation.

On Monday, January 23, 2023, the geography department held a seminar for Dr. Muhammad Nasir Mustafa, at Dr. Nazem’s hall of Engineering Faculty which titled: “Adult education – Aims and university’s procedures”.
