On Monday, April 28, 2025, the Directorate of Dormitories, in collaboration with the Directorate of Health and Safety and the Department of Anti-Narcotics at the Erbil East Security Directorate (Asayish), organized a training course titled “Prevention of Narcotic Substance Abuse” at Koya University.

The course targeted dormitory police units and was attended by President Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed H. S. Zangana; Vice President for Student Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhin Tahir; Director of Health and Safety, Asst. Lect. Dunya Ibrahim; Director of Media, Asst. Lect. Mohammad Karim; and Director of Dormitories, Mr. Karim Ahmed. The session was moderated by Mr. Rekawt Muhammad Taha. The course provided participants with information on various types of narcotic substances and raised awareness of the dangers of drug abuse, especially among university students.
