One of the fruitful outcomes of the cooperation between Koya University and Aberystwyth University, Wales, is Dr. Sarbast Mohammad Salih Nabi starts to coordinate a scientific project of two Canadian PhD. Candidates. Dr. Nabi is a senior lecturer and an assistant Prof. at the Malai Gawra Center, Koya University. The Ph.D. candidates are Mr. Haval Ahmed, a researcher in the Department of International Politics at  Aberystwyth University, Wales, and Ms. Emma MacTavish, a researcher in the Department of Political Science and International Studies, University of Birmingham.

Today, the preliminary session (virtual teatime) for the Iraqi Universities coordinators started the online E-Learning Professional Training Program that organized by IREX with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research-IRAQ and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research -KRG. The online training program will last till the first week of June 2020. The Koya University team is represented by:

Dr. Karaman Mamand Faraj, a teaching staff at the Department of Law, Faculty of Humanities and Scoial Sciences,Koya University, presented a paper in The Migration Conference 2019, Bari, Italy,18-20 June 2019. The paper entitled "State as a Birthplace and Main Cause behind Massive Migration and Refugee Outflows" is now available in the conference proceeding: Chapter II. (2.2. State as a Birthplace and Main Cause behind Massive Migration and Refugee Outflows). Dr. Farj is curently on study leave at the United State.

The higher committee of the Bologna Proccess in Kurdistan Region started to pursuing its regular meetings online. The committee is directed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Reserach in Kurdistan Universities with members from (7) Universities. Yesterday, the commitee held its regular meeting online. The meeting was directed by the D.G. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Ahmed, where the D.G Dr. Khattab Shekhany has been invited to attend the meeting, who had very important inputs and comments.

Coronavirus pandamic forces all Universities, institutions and research labs to shut down. The universities are shifting classes online. In this trend, KOU completed a one month training courses to all 25 departments, individually, on the online learning. Prof. Salah I. Yahya, the Director of the QA&CD at the University with his office members: Ms. Chra Maroof, Ms. Kenana Nouri, Mr. Alan Nahro, Ms. Haneen Hayder, Mr. Othman Kamal, Mr. Hawre Jabbar and Mr. Hardi Hamza were organized the training course.
