On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Education of Koya University, Prof. Dr. Safin Jalal and a significant number of lectures and students of the Department of English Language Education in the Faculty of Education at Koya University organized a workshop entitled “The contributing approaches to Language and Literature” in the Tahir Bakr hall in the Faculty of Education.

On Sunday, May 7, 2023, a workshop titled "TB: An Ancient Disease and a Health Problem Today" was held jointly by the Faculty of Science and Health and Faculty of Medicine of Koya University in the Presidency Hall. Participants included the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Koya University, Dr. Dawan Hawezi, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Health of Koya University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Taha Jalal, and a significant number of lectures and students.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Iraqi Handball Federation and Koya University
Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, president of Koya University, presided over the meeting. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Iraqi Handball Federation and the Faculty of Physical Education. On Thursday, May 4, 2023, a delegation of the Iraqi Handball Union led by Dr. Ahmed Riad Talib visited Koya University to sign a memorandum of understanding between Koya University and the union A number of students from the university and the city visited Koya University.
